Vandalia: Haunted Hollers

A collaborative effort from a team of friends, Vandalia: Haunted Hollers is a fully draftable fan-made set for Magic: the Gathering. Over the course of 6 months we designed, playtested, revised, and printed over 230 completely new cards based on the folklore and culture of Appalachia, primarily our home state of West Virginia. It has some new mechanics but otherwise fits in perfectly with the landscape Magic has built over the past 33 years, and any somewhat experienced player can pick up and play without issue.

All art was either sourced from existing cards, created specially for the project, or sourced online under Fair Use. I also made a simple site on Github pages to showcase the cards, explain new mechanics, and make a home for the lore we wrote for the setting. No AI generated images were used. No AI was used for the text on the website or any cards.
